The JEE Main is the examination conducted for admission into colleges like IIT, NIT and a few other top engineering colleges. The candidates who score above the cutoff marks will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency. The JEE Main will be conducted four times a year. The students are allowed to appear for all four attempts. This provision is very helpful for the candidates, they need not wait for one more year to attempt the examination for the second time. This best score of the candidates from the four attempts will be considered for admission to various colleges.
JEE Main
The JEE Main consists of three papers. Paper 1 is for the students who are planning to take B.Tech course, Paper 2A will be for B.Arch aspirants and Paper 3B is for B.Planning students. All the students who have completed class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as the mandatory subjects are eligible to appear for the examination. There is no age limit to appear for the examination. However, colleges can set an age limit for admission. In the past years scoring 75% marks (65% for reserved category candidates) in the class 12 board exam was an eligibility criterion to appear for JEE Main, but this year board examination marks are not taken into consideration to applying for JEE Main.
The admit card will be available for download a few days after the application form is filled and submitted. It is mandatory for the students to carry the admit card to the examination hall. The candidates must take identity proof along with the admit card on the day of examination.
The JEE Main 2021 was conducted in the months of January, February, July and August. The results are out for all four attempts. The results are available on the official website. The candidates must click on the JEE Main result tab and enter the necessary details. The results can be downloaded and printed. JEE Main Answer Key
TheJEE Main answer key for the examination is provided a few days after the examination on the official website. The candidates can enter the login credentials to download the answer key for all four slots. The candidates can raise a concern if they are not satisfied with any of the answers provided in the JEE Main Answer Key. This facility will remain open for a few days after the answer key is released.
In order to challenge the answer key, the candidates must make a payment of a certain amount per answer. The payment can be done using a credit card/debit card or e-challan. It is also important for the candidates to present the receipt of the processing fee. If the challenge is found correct by the NTA then the processing fee is refunded.
